Rinse thoroughly after the beach
This is the obligatory passage when returning from the beach. “You have to rinse well with lukewarm water to remove salt, sand, algae which remain on the skin, but also in the hair”, specifies Dr Martine Baspeyras. It is not necessarily necessary to soap for a long time, but using a mild soap, which does not dry out the skin, is very recommended. Ditto when you come back from the swimming pool: a careful rinsing from head to toe is necessary and will limit skin dryness. Then, wipe gently and apply a moisturizer.

All the more so if you have a sensitive skin. Because if the hydrolipidic film is deficient, dehydration can be faster. “So it not only allows fight against this dryness, but also to maintain the acquired tan, because well hydrated skin desquamates less and renews itself better”, continues the dermatologist. tan obtained will therefore be prettier, more homogeneous and will last longer! We apply a suitable treatment on the face
When you are exposed to the sun, it is better to stop anti-aging care based on vitamin A or fruit acids. Because these products act by accelerating the cell renewal of the skin. However, during sun exposure, the epidermis thickens, tanning is like a protection that the skin develops to protect itself from the rays. Which doesn’t mean you can’t use anti-aging in the summer. “You can apply a care based on vitamin C or E in the evening to fight against the free radicals produced when you are exposed to the sun”, notes Dr. Baspeyras. Some brands (Lancaster, Lierac, etc.) also offer post-sun serums packed with antioxidants that aim to repair a little of the damage suffered by the skin during the day. For the same reasons, facial scrubs and peels are temporarily stopped.

Tips for brittle and dry hair
Sion bathes in the sea, the salt water dries out the hair! Ideally, they are rinsed quickly and tied in a bun that is not too tight, especially if they are long. In the evening, wash them with a mild shampoo and let them air dry. If they are dry, colored or sensitized, we do a mask every evening. It is the best anti-breakage and anti-dehydration parade for lengths and ends. We do not use products based on silicones, because they are not biodegradable and pollute the abyss by aggregating at the bottom. And no salt water if you have a Brazilian straightening!
If we swim in the pool, we are vigilant and rinse your hair thoroughly, especially if they are colored, in order to remove any trace of chlorine which can change the color and the reflections.
If you don’t put your head in water, you don’t get your hair wet, and you don’t have to wash it every day. On the other hand, if you put protective oil on it, you will probably prefer to wash it to remove the greasy appearance and any sunscreens present in the formula.
