Shaving guide for women
The preparation
Good preparation is half the job. If you want to shave the pubic area, you should take your time. It is a meticulous job that requires thorough preparation. First, take a nice warm bath or shower. Warm water makes the skin supple and the hair softer, so that the skin will irritate less after shaving.
After a bath or shower, it is important to cool down the pubic area as quickly as possible. Again to avoid irritation. You can simply hold a soft towel under the cold tap and then press it briefly against the pubic area. Are you shaving for the first time? Then cut away most of the hair. Then you can access it a little easier.
The shaving
Shaving itself requires a lot of concentration. Use a new blade, preferably one with cut protection, and regular shaving cream or oil. Do not use disposable blades, because you can easily cut yourself with them. Prevent shaving cream from entering the vagina. It causes an uncomfortable feeling, but is not directly harmful.
To avoid irritations, it is best to shave in the direction of the hair. The result is slightly less smooth, but you avoid irritation. Also, do not press too hard to prevent ingrown hairs that cause itching. Smooth the skin with one hand while shaving. You can then reach it better and there is less chance of cuts.
It is best to go over the same spot only once. More often is allowed, but that can also cause irritation. Watch out for tricky spots, take your time, and use a mirror if you can’t see areas well. Squat down with a mirror on the floor to shave the labia area. Or just do it by feel. After shaving, you should rinse the pubic area well with water. Do not use soap.
Possible problems
Shaving the pubic area can cause quite a few problems. The skin may become irritated. This almost always happens after a first shave, so you need to stick with it. You can cut yourself and the hairs keep coming back quickly.
Keep in mind that irritation is caused by shaving the skin too often with a razor. And don’t go over the same patch of skin more than once or twice with the same blade. Are you cutting yourself too often? Then stop shaving and trim your pubic hair. If you do that regularly, it also looks neat and is almost as hygienic.

The preparation
Shaving is also hygienic for men and many women also find it an exceptionally sexy face. If you want to shave things up, a warm bath or shower and cooling the pubic area are also recommended for men.
The shaving
Shaving is a slightly different story than with women. Remember to use a guarded blade with a double head and ‘bars’. Before shaving, soap the pubic area well and remove all easy spots first.
The most difficult part is yet to come: the hair on and around the scrotum. To do that properly, it’s best to pull that part tight to the side and then shave the hair away. The skin of the scrotum can be tightened by slightly lowering your squats. You can also shave this area without soap, but that can cause some irritation.
Rinse the shaved area with plenty of soap-free water. Lubricate the pubic area with some lotion after shaving, so that it does not itch. Alcoholic aftershaves are absolutely not recommended. Also a nice tip for the women, by the way. Talcum powder can also help.
Possible problems
The chance of irritation in men is much smaller than in women. The risk of cuts and other problems is also nil with concentrated shaving.
