In parallel with the launch of the Mégane E-Tech Electric, Renault is reviewing the prices of the Mégane IV combustion engines and plug-in hybrids upwards. The increase goes from 400 € to 800 € according to the versions. The compact now starts at €25,100.
While the Mégane E-Tech Electric inaugurates a new family of vehicles at Renault, the fourth generation Mégane continues its career in 100% internal combustion and rechargeable hybrid versions. The prices of the compact increase at the start of 2022. Its access price climbs by €400 to settle at €25,100. The increase concerns the entire range and goes up to €800 on certain configurations. For the rechargeable hybrid, count at least €38,000 now, or €400 more than before. The electrified Mégane still benefits from an ecological bonus of €1,000, provided it is ordered before 1er next July.
A well-equipped entry-level
The Mégane range has not yet undergone its transformation to comply with the new names that are being developed in the Renault catalog. Its offer for individuals still consists of Zen, Limited, Intens and RS Line finishes, not to mention the sporty RS.
Since 1er January 2022, the latter suffers from a minimum ecological penalty of €12,012, compared to €9,550 in 2021. At the opposite end of the spectrum, the basic Zen finish includes among others:
- dual-zone automatic climate control
- 7-inch central touch screen
- LED spotlights
- automatic lights and wipers
- speed regulator
- reversing radar
- hill start assist
- 16-inch steel wheels with hubcaps
The (not so) limited series Limited adds to this a navigation system, front parking radar, alloy wheels (16 inches), tinted rear windows and some exclusive cosmetic details. In Intens configuration, we also benefit from:
- 9.3-inch central touch screen
- reversing camera
- fog lights
- lane keeping aid
- fatigue detector
A sports offer that survives
The RS Line version can still be recognized by its sporty body kit, 17-inch rims and heated front seats. As for the 300 hp Mégane RS, it automatically benefits from:
- digital dashboard
- steering rear wheels
- electrically folding mirrors
- side parking radars
- line crossing alert
- sports seats
- 18 inch rims
Its Trophy variant, in addition to its firmer Cup chassis, also has a head-up display, 19-inch rims and Alcantara upholstery in particular.
