Within four years, Renault will renew the Kadjar family, deploy its new E-Tech hybrid technology and multiply electric vehicles with the Mégane and a family SUV. Alpine will be 100% electric with a city car inspired by the future R5, a crossover and a sports car.
[Mise à jour le 22/09/2021] 2021 will have been a busy year for Renault, with many new features: the new Arkana SUV-Coupé, the third generation of the Kangoo with its sliding door without a central foot, or the presentation of the electric Mégane E-Tech. This new 100% electric offer is of capital importance for the diamond manufacturer, who will invest “more than one billion euros” by 2022 for the development and production of electric vehicles. If the reception of the model at the Munich Motor Show was good, what will happen in the dealerships? Response to the launch, in spring 2022. In order not to bet everything on the electric, next year, the French manufacturer will also renew its family SUV offer with a Kadjar family.
The new Renault 2022
The next step for the electric Mégane E-Tech is the announcement of its price. The car is already available for reservation, its finishes and equipment are known, but its price is not yet. According to our information, the entry ticket would be € 34,000 (excluding bonus). Marketing will take place in the spring. The other flagship model for this year 2022 will be the Kadjar II. Officially presented in the spring, the car will share its platform with the Nissan Qashqai. Like the latter, it will ignore diesel to refocus its offer on hybrid engines (light and non-rechargeable 200 hp).

The new Renault 2023
It will already be time for the “classic” Clio 5 and Captur 2 to go through the restyling box. The Koleos that we know will give way to an extended version of the Kadjar II. New: this family SUV (RHN) can accommodate up to 7 passengers. Renault will also launch the extended version of the Kangoo, also available in 7 seats, as well as the HCB project. This internal code hides a new 100% electric SUV. Initially, the project met the HCC code and was to be the counterpart of the Nissan Ariya. Finally, it will be slightly more compact and will be positioned above the electric Mégane.

The new Renault 2024
In 2024, Renault will present a third version of its Kadjar. Internally called DHN, it is a coupe version of the SUV that will inaugurate the 280 hp 4×4 plug-in hybrid. This year will also mark the return to concessions of the R5, production of which in the Douai (North) plant will have started at the end of the previous year. The city car will be 100% electric and will start from € 20,000.

The new Renault 2025
After the R5, it would be the turn of the 4L to make its return to the Renault catalog. The electric car will be offered in two body styles: crossover and van. Like the R5, it will be based on the CMF-B EV platform, which should enable it to display a very affordable price.

The new Alpine
For its part, Alpine will see its catalog grow at the end of 2024 with the arrival of the sporty version of the R5: it will be equipped with the 220 hp electric motor. The replacement for the A110 berlinetta will see the light of day in 2026. It will be 100% electric and will be based on a common technical basis with the future Lotus Type 135. This platform must be able to accommodate up to two electric motors capable of delivering a cumulative power of 650 kW (884 hp). Will it be a two-seater or a 2 + 2 coupé? Both options are possible. In addition, an electric crossover will indeed be offered in the Alpine catalog in 2025. It will be assembled in Dieppe (Seine-Maritime) and will be based on the CMF-EV platform coming straight from Douai.

What about Scenic and Space?
The future of certain models seems sealed: the Espace 5, Talisman and Scénic 4 will not be renewed. All three produced in Douai in the North of France, they no longer represent the top of the range of the brand. The plant will become a production center dedicated to electricity, with several models mentioned above.
