The bacteria Listeria monocytogenes causes an infection called listeriosis. Its incubation period is a few hours up to 8 weeks.
Infected people present with fever, isolated or accompanied by headache, and body aches. The digestive form is also associated with abdominal pain and diarrhea. Foodies who have already enjoyed their Advent calendar and who present these signs are invited to consult their doctor and report this consumption.

Pregnant women as well as immunocompromised people and the elderly must be particularly attentive to these symptoms. Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious.”
