Yoga exercises will be offered this summer at Roissy and Orly airports to relax travelers. About thirty teachers speaking several languages will provide the lessons.
Gone are the long hours of waiting in terminals and the fear of flying. Travelers departing from Roissy and Orly airports will be able to practice yoga this summer to relax before boarding.
15-20 minute sessions
Taking a plane can distress more than one; this is why the Paris Aéroport company has decided to take care of its customers. With the help of the Tigre Yoga Club, mini-yoga sessions will be organized in the terminals of the two Parisian airports to relax travelers. “People taking medium and long-haul flights have to wait hours before boarding and are often stressed. We will offer them sessions of about 15-20 minutes before getting on the plane ”, explains to Why actor the creator of the Tigre Yoga Club, Élodie Garamond. A flight attendant and a yoga teacher will accompany between three and eight passengers for relaxation, flexibility and breathing exercises. The goal is to provide people with exercises that they can reuse during and after their plane trip.
Courses provided in several languages
To do this, around thirty yoga teachers will be distributed from July 15 to August 13 between the platforms of Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle and Orly. Classes, which will take place every Friday and Saturday, will be provided in several languages and behind screens to keep practitioners at ease. Several meditation mats and cushions will be made available to them during the sessions. According to Élodie Garamond, who has been practicing yoga for 15 years, the experiment could be repeated during the other holidays if it proves to be successful.
