Where is he from ? It is harvested at the very beginning of November and marketed until June. Then from the beginning of summer to November, New Zealand, exactly at the antipodes of France, takes over.
A cocktail of vitamins
The kiwi is a concentrate of vitamins, and in particular vitamins B9, E and K, which each have their virtues:
- There Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant.
- There vitamin B9 (folic acid) acts on the maintenance and production of cells. It is all the more important during pregnancy and the growth of the child.
- There vitamin K1 contributes to the maintenance of good bone health.
The kiwi is also: a source of copper, and a fruit well endowed with potassium, essential nutrients for a healthy body.
Finally, it facilitates digestion animal protein after a heavy meal and improves intestinal transit: the consumption of kiwi can relieve constipation on a daily basis.
The skin, I eat it? Spontaneously, we would rather tend to peel it: fluffy, it gives the feeling of being irritating… And yet, it concentrates the fibers and provides a significant vitamin C supplement. In this case, you have to choose the organic fruit and eat it in thin slices (unpeeled, therefore) or put it whole in the juicer.
