Increase in legal aid applications
More requests for legal aid were received this year from Stichting Achmea Rechtsbijstand (SAR), which it claims is the largest legal service provider in the Netherlands. This year there were 167,000 requests compared to 163,000 last year.
Significant increase in employment law
Employment law in particular has seen a sharp increase in recent years, from approximately 35,000 applications in 2011 to nearly 42,000 this year. The number of dismissal cases has fallen slightly this year to more than 19,000 after an increase for many years. Most applications for legal aid related to civil law, more than 70,000 cases, followed by labor law and traffic law, more than 30,000 cases.
Irritation top 4
Legal aid for neighbor disputes has increased by forty percent in the past three years, from 400 to 550. The period with the most disputes is April to October, with August being the top. The four main causes of neighbor disputes are noise nuisance, smoke nuisance, overhanging branches and children playing.
Delay
Over the past 2.5 years, 4,000 reports have been received about delayed flights. About two-thirds is about the outward flight. In eight out of ten cases, legal aid managed to achieve compensation of an average of seven hundred euros per travel group. The destinations with the most delays are Antalya, London, Bodrum, Dalaman and Curaçao.
