Today, obstetrician-gynecologists, childcare auxiliaries, psychologists, midwives, administrators, all sing and dance to call to come and support the staff of the Lilas maternity during the demonstration on September 21. To make citizens aware of the danger of the Lilas Maternity Hospital, they posted a video on Youtube, “Lilas Ou t’es”, a parody of the Papaoutai music video by singer Stromae.
A medical project that the staff refuses
This pioneering establishment of painless childbirth, a major place of respect for the right of women to dispose of their bodies, has been offered to integrate disused premises in Montreuil. It is in the short term the death of the establishment and its medical project that the Regional Health Agency (ARS) is proposing with this new “alternative” project. Indeed, this choice proposed by ARS is not at all adapted to the needs of the Lilas maternity.
The demonstration of support will take place in Les Lilas (Seine-Saint-Denis) on September 21 at 11 a.m. Meet in front of the town hall.
The staff of the Maternité des Lilas has already planned other actions to mobilize citizens and cancel the project proposed by the Regional Health Agency (ARS).
