Reconciling mask and glasses is sometimes difficult because of the mist which accumulates and keeps reappearing, greatly hindering visibility. A few simple tips will allow you to wear your mask without any problem.
Mask and glasses, a combination that hinders visibility
Wearing a mask with glasses causes fogging several times during the day, a strong constraint that hinders the visibility of people with glasses. Now mandatory in transport and in most large cities, wearing a mask is essential to respect barrier gestures and prevent the spread of the virus. The mist is formed when the hot air exhaled through the mouth and the nose rises. Namely, when the weather is hot, the fogging is reduced, especially since the temperature of the air approaches that of breathing.
Some tips to remedy this phenomenon
The first advice is to pinch the mask tightly at the nose so that it is tight. If you have a cloth mask, you can also insert a clip so that it has a better hold. Washing glasses in soapy water is also a good solution. The glasses, dried in the open air, obtain a thin film on the surface due to the surfactant in the soap. It therefore limits the adhesion of water molecules and prevents fogging. Placing a handkerchief can also be helpful. Folded, it absorbs moisture and gives you clear visibility. So that it does not fall, place the top edge of the mask on the face with the glasses. Finally, there are anti-fog sprays. Originally for swimming goggles and car windshields, this spray leaves a surfactant film (like soap) and reduces this kind of problem.
