Malnutrition kills 3.1 million children under five each year. To fight against this scourge, the international solidarity association Antenna France and the Meurice hotel have decided to engage with the “Solidarity Cocktails” operation, which will take place from September 26 to December 31 at Bar 228 and Spa Valmont , in Paris.
Financing spirulina cures
For the occasion, these Parisian establishments will offer three unique cocktails made with spirulina. This micro-alga was not chosen at random: known for its many health benefits, it is used as a food supplement. And for good reason: it is rich in vitamins, protein, essential amino acids, minerals, in trace elements or in Omega 3 and 6. To enhance the taste of this seaweed, often presented as a weapon against malnutrition, pineapple, tequila, coconut, Cointreau or even lime will enhance cocktails.
The goal? Promote the nutritional qualities of this micro-algae and raise funds for Antenna France, which has already enabled 100,000 children to benefit from a spirulina cure. Part of the profits will be donated to the association: for each cocktail sold, two children suffering from malnutrition will be able to benefit from a cure of this microalgae for six weeks.
