They are rich in antioxidants, which can help to reduce inflammation and water retention, which reduces bloating. “Of the research have shown that pomegranates can increase levels of good bacteria in the gut.” The nutritionist explains that a pomegranate provides approximately 11 grams of fiberswhich provides food (prebiotics) for healthy gut bacteria (probiotics), promotes a regular intestinal transit and a feeling of fullness. Plus, these vibrant fruits are also relatively low in calories.
Kiwis
Kiwis are excellent for digestion. Their high content of soluble fiber, particularly pectin, acts as a natural thickener for stools. They’re also low in calories and high in vitamins and minerals, making them a smart choice for those looking to manage their weight. Sheri Berger states that “Of the studies have shown that the fiber in kiwifruit can absorb more water than some other types of fiber, promoting better stool consistency, regularity and weight control.“
