The battle with cellulite and centimeters
Almost everyone has body areas that they are insecure about. In my case, they mainly focus around my navel. I am a fanatic sportsman, but I also like good food. So I’m looking for ‘miracle cures’. That’s why I tested slimming pants.
The Biopromise high slimming pants are the most popular slimming pants. The model has quite a few advantages, if I can believe the website of seller Scala:
- Targets the three most common problem areas in women: buttocks, legs and stomach.
- Stimulates and improves blood circulation at the skin level.
- helps cellulite to fight.
- Sustainable slimming.
- Immediate results thanks to shaper function.
- Smoother and smoother skin.
- Anti-slip band to prevent sagging.
- Seamless.
promises
The pants work as a body shaper, so you should have a slimmer silhouette immediately after putting them on. In addition, the biocrystals that are processed in the yarn provide a massage of the skin. As a result, waste products, excess fat and fluid are removed by the body.
A medical research team conducted tests on the pants. A group of fifty women wore the pants for at least eight hours a day (and six days a week) for sixty days. Depending on weight and the amount of body fat, the women lost up to 8 centimeters in the abdominal area and on the hips and up to 10 centimeters around the buttocks.
To test
Pretty solid promises. But do the slimming pants also live up to them? There was only one way to find out: I wore the pants for 60 days. And I have to admit that I was a bit apprehensive about it. I saw myself struggling every morning to get the pants on and was secretly afraid that everyone could see it on me, but it was not that bad!
Putting on the pants was quite easy. Of course it is tight, but if it were very loose, I would not believe in the effect. The first few days it took some getting used to, but very soon I no longer felt it. Also ‘seeing’ was not too bad. My colleagues asked me if I was actually wearing it and I mostly got compliments that I looked good. So no weird looks.
Anti slip
As I wore the pants longer, the anti-slip band at the top became a little less anti-slip. As a result, I had to work a bit longer in the toilet to get the pants back on properly: if the anti-slip band is not properly fitted, you will see edges through your clothing. In addition, after two weeks I had tears on the seam of the pants. According to the manufacturer, a manufacturing error that rarely or never occurs. I probably just had bad luck and luckily I immediately received a new one.
What I also struggled a bit with was the washing. In principle, you can wash the pants fine and the manufacturer emphasizes that this is not at the expense of the biocrystals in the yarn. I was especially concerned with the moment of washing and drying again (the pants are not allowed in the dryer!). In fact, it would be more practical to have two pairs of trousers.
Does it work?
Whether the slimming pants are really the panacea I’m looking for, I can’t say for sure. You can clearly see and feel the promised improvements in the skin and that is striking because there was no real cellulite yet.
Unfortunately I haven’t lost any significant amounts of inches: 3 inches on my thighs, 3 inches on my butt and 2 inches around my waist. Sounds pretty good, but I was actually doing it for my belly. And nothing happened there.
Conclusion
The effect on the skin – and therefore against cellulite – is clear and noticeable even after a few days of wearing. The pants also work directly as a body shaper, so that you feel slightly ‘slender’ after putting them on. Only about the lost centimeters I am less enthusiastic. I knew in advance that the slimming effect depended on weight and amount of body fat, but of course secretly hoped that my tummy would disappear.
