Quick and numb epilation
No pain no gain! Now that is not so bad with the Satinelle Ice Premium. If you ‘survive’ the first epilation with the Satinelle, you are immediately hooked. Epilation hurts less every time you do it. In addition, you get smooth legs in return, which stay smooth for a super long time!
The first thing you notice about the Satinelle Ice is that it is very different in shape from other epilators. It is long and thin with pretty flowers on it. The head is also shaped differently, with a slight curve in the epilation head. In addition, there is an ‘Ice cooler’ to reduce the pain during epilation.
Painful?
I have been an avid epilator myself for a long time. Even with my old device (no fuss) epilating my legs doesn’t hurt anymore. To be able to test properly, I decided to epilate my arms. Since I normally never epilate them, it seemed to me comparable to someone who epilates her legs for the first time.
I started with the Satinelle Ice on my left arm. It hurt to be honest, but I was okay with it. It took a while and a few minutes later my entire forearm was hair-free.
Then I put it to the test by epilating my right arm with my old device. This was more difficult. It hurt more and there seemed to be a lot less hair coming out in one pass. So I had to go over the same area a lot more times. In the end, I topped it off with the Satinelle Ice.

The fact that it is less painful is largely due to the fact that the cooling of the ice has an anesthetic effect. The Ice cooler certainly adds something. The Ice cooler also ensures that you hold the device upright against the skin, making epilation better. If you want, you can also use the Satinelle without an Ice cooler.
The Ice cooler can simply remain in the freezer; always ready to use. The insulating part you’re holding will stay at room temperature. This will prevent you from getting cold hands.
Rechargeable
The fact that the device works wirelessly is also a big advantage. You can then epilate anywhere. For example, sometimes you need more light to see the hairs better. That doesn’t always work well if you only have a certain range with a cord.
It is noticeable that the motor is a lot less strong if you use the device wirelessly. But even wirelessly, the Satinelle Ice epilates better than my old device. Still, for some stiffer leg hairs it may be necessary to put the plug in the socket.
Massage with aloe vera
The Satinelle Ice also promises ‘a sonic massage with aloe vera’. I didn’t really notice that much. The epilation head is also made of hypoallergenic ceramic material.
All this would cause less irritation. Well I didn’t have any irritations, but would I have had them otherwise? I almost never had that with my old devices.
Even more extras
A protective sleeve can also be placed on the epilation head. This ensures that only a small area is epilate at a time. This makes it less painful and allows you to epilate more sensitive areas when you epilate. For those who dare, even the bikini line can be done with it!
The Satinelle comes in a sweet carry bag. You will also receive a scrub glove. You can use this to exfoliate your legs to make them feel even smoother. Exfoliating also works very well to prevent ingrown hairs.
