In the last year I have (also often when walking) that there is more skin at the transition from my toes to my foot, it feels like your sock is doubled. Does this have to do with my age (55)? It doesn’t hurt me.

If there is actually a little more skin at the transition from your toes to your foot, this can’t hurt at all in most cases. However, if it only feels that way (without the fact that extra skin is actually present), this can often be related to a sensory disturbance in the foot.
However, this does not have to be serious either. This can often occur due to a pinching of the nerve that runs to the toes. If you are not bothered by this, then this is not something that needs to be looked at further. If this bothers you more, I advise you to make an appointment with a podiatrist in your area for further advice.
Do you also have a question? Then ask one of our experts. Always go to your doctor with urgent questions, the experts are not the right person for that. They also do not diagnose. You can find the other conditions here.
