Celebrity magazines do not spare celebrities on the beach, hunting down every inch of cellulite. This summer, Hilary Duff paid the price. But the young mother has decided to rise up against this practice which she describes as “bodyshaming”, consisting of complexing women about their so-called faults.
While the young woman is on vacation in the sun with her son, photos of her taken without her knowledge have fueled criticism. It is on her Instagram account that she responds in a post that she dedicates “to young girls, women and mothers of all ages”.
“Ladies, let’s be proud”
“Since magazines love to publish ‘celebrity flaws’ – well, I have them! My body gave me the most gift of my life: Luca, 5 years ago. I’m going to be 30 in September, my body is healthy and takes me where I need to go, ”she explains under her photo, reminding her of her priorities.
She takes the opportunity to call on women to love their body as it is and not to be influenced by the dictates of society. “Ladies, let’s be proud of what we have and stop wasting precious time every day hoping to be different, better or perfect.” A positive message that feels good.
“As for you (you will recognize yourself) you already knew how to spoil a good time, now you are also body shamers”, she addresses to the paparazzi. Before concluding his post with #kissmyass, either “fuck yourself” in French. This sets things straight, and the beautiful Hilary intends to make the most of her vacation.
