The Takamaka is a tree that grows in Southeast Asia, Africa, Oceania, on the American continent as well as on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Easily recognizable with its small white flowers “in clusters” and its waxed leaves, it also produces fruits from which a precious oil is extracted: the vegetable oil of calophylle inophylle.
Traditionally used by the peoples of the Pacific to relieve rheumatism, ulcers, burns, infected wounds and skin diseases, the vegetable oil of calophylle inophylle does indeed have health benefits demonstrated by Science; Thus, in 2015, a study by Paris Descartes University validated its healing and antibacterial properties. A second study, carried out in 2016 by the University of French Polynesia, confirmed this discovery.
Excellent for the skin, calophylle inophyl vegetable oil is also beneficial when you suffer from water retention in the thighs, knees, calves and ankles – this is the famous feeling of “heavy legs”, common in summer due to the heat, and mainly in women.
Calophylle inophylle: a circulatory, healing and antibacterial vegetable oil
Indeed: this vegetable oil contains several molecules (including calophyllic acid, inophylline, calaustraline and polyphenols) which tone the blood circulation while protecting the blood vessels – capillaries, veins and arteries. A super ally when you suffer from venous insufficiency!
To relieve “heavy legs” in summer, massage your legs for a long time (for at least 5 minutes on each side) with a few drops of Calophylle inophylle vegetable oil: proceed from bottom to top (to activate venous return) and finish by a jet of very cold water which leaves the ankles and rises towards the thighs. To be done morning and evening!
Anti-heavy legs care. In a small bowl, put 20 drops of calophylle inophylle vegetable oil. Add 5 drops of essential oil of pistachio mastic tree (Pistacia lentiscus L.), an essential oil that has venous and lymphatic decongestant properties. Mix and massage your two legs for a long time (for at least 5 minutes on each side) proceeding from bottom to top. Again, finish with a jet of cold water that goes up the length of the leg, and do this ritual morning and evening.
