January 14, 2011 – Will you eat more meals with your family? This is the question posed in January by the “Everyone at the table” project, which continues its vast survey each month on the eating behaviors of Quebec families.
At a time when we do not have a lot of time and where we have difficulty reconciling work and family, this project’s mission is to bring young people’s nutrition to the heart of family concerns.
“The holiday season which has just passed can be a good source of inspiration”, according to nutritionist Nathalie Jobin, project manager at “Everyone at the table”. “Let’s draw inspiration from the traditions of reuniting and sharing the holiday season to put family meals on the daily schedule. And if we want to add a few more resolutions to our list, why not cook with the kids a little more often? “
Every month, on its website, “Everyone at the table” asks a new question to all those who are willing to share their experience and their opinion. The answers will be used in a large research project led by nutritionists from Extenso at the University of Montreal.
