Last year, the strongest chess program (Stockfish) was defeated by a Google supercomputer that had not been programmed, but had learned to play chess by playing against itself for several hours. Now there is also something like this for the PC under the name Leela Chess. The ‘brain’ is trained by enthusiastic users so that you can download a newer and stronger version every day. For the time being Stockfish is a size too big, but Leela is already winning against less strong opponents.
