Boiling water, iron or simply sunshine : the burns cutaneous are the most frequent domestic accident. Those of the first degree affect only the epidermis and are manifested by redness and heat. This is the classic sunburn. The second degree burn destroys the entire epidermis and affects the dermis. It is painful and causes a blister to form. Only these mild burns can be treated at home, as long as they are small and do not affect a sensitive area.
Lavender to calm the fire
To soothe the skin, calm the pain and inflammation after sunburn, mix 6 drops of EO of lavender aspic and 1 tsp. oily maceratearnica or calendula. Apply 2 to 3 times a day on sunburn. In addition, we can also spray these hydrosols during the day, alone or mixed: fine lavender, chamomile noble, witch Hazel, rose geranium, helichrysum Italian.
The express solution: after having cooled the burn for several minutes under a trickle of cold water, apply 1 to 6 drops (depending on the extent of the burn) of EO of asp lavender (or failing that, officinal) pure or diluted in l ‘vegetable oil. We renew every 20 minutes, up to 5 times depending on the pain.
Tea tree for healing
In a 10 ml flask, mix 1 ml of EO of aspic lavender, 1 ml of EO of Sumatran benzoin, 1 ml of EO of tea-tree and complete with vegetable oil St. John’s Wort. Apply 3 to 4 drops to the burn twice a day, until healing. To avoid during the pregnancy and breastfeeding, and in children under 3 years of age. St. John’s Wort is photosensitizing, so avoid any exposure to the sun, or replace it with vegetable oil of rosehip from Chile.
The cajeput in the event of radiotherapy
To prevent burns from treatment of radiotherapy, apply 2 drops of EO of cajeput to the area to be irradiated, 10 to 30 minutes before the session.

The essential oil of lavender aspic is the ideal reflex in case of burn. It calms pain thanks to its analgesic properties and promotes epidermal repair with its healing properties. For more effectiveness, it is associated with Sumatran benzoin (healing) and tea-tree (skin protector) invegetable oil St. John’s Wort, the ally of bruised skin. Be careful, however: it is avoided during pregnancy andfeeding with milk and before 3 years.
