Emergencies: 213 services still on strike
August 2, 2019
No summer break for the emergency strike: at least 213 services are affected across France, at the beginning of August 2019.
Emergency strike continues
The strike movement continues in the emergency departments of French hospitals. It has lasted since mid-March and affects at the beginning of August 2019 another 213 services in France, according to information from the Parisian. The Minister of Health acknowledged, Thursday, August 1, that this “crisis persists”.
Agnès Buzyn had promised 70 million euros in aid, including 55 million dedicated to the payment of a monthly risk premium of 100 euros. But according to the Inter-Urgences collective at the microphone of franceinfo : ” A lot of departments haven’t seen this money. We questioned the ARS on this level, but for the moment it is radio silence. “
The end of bed closures demanded
This collective explained in a press release, Wednesday July 31, the “ absolute necessity to stop bed closures “. One thing is certain therefore, the demands have not changed, despite the duration of the movement. As a reminder, professionals claim the creation of 10,000 additional jobs, the increase in wages by 300 euros and the end of bed closures.
And the minister does not have a very reassuring speech. She thus considers that there is no miracle solution : “ From one site to another, in fact, the problems are different. And therefore, there is not a single solution that would adapt to all emergency services in France. », She concluded.
