eczema is a skin lesion characterized by the appearance of blisters on red, inflamed skin. The disease, also called atopic dermatitis, is not contagious and evolves by spurts.
One of the homeopathic medicines widely used to treat eczema is Rhus Toxicodendron (also used for treat shingles blisters). Diluted in 9 CH and taken three to four times a day, Rhus tox is able to make certain eczemas disappear in a few days. Apis mellifica in 15 CH is, as for him, the remedy particularly adapted to any form of irritation and redness.
The 9 main symptoms
Atopic eczema results in different symptoms:
– redness of the skin with severe itching
– fine blisters on the skin
– oozing resulting from the rupture of vesicles and crusts
– skin dryness outside the affected areas.

• If the eczema is dry
Arsenicum iodatum 7 CH and Arsenicum album 7 CH
• If the patches are red with blisters
Rhus toxicodendron 7 CH and Cantharis 7 CH
• If the eczema is crusty and oozing
9CH Graphites and 7CH Mezereum
• If the eczema is very horny and cracked but without bleeding
Lycopodium 9 CH and Antimonium crudum 7 CH
• If the eczema has bleeding cracks
Nitricum acidum 7 CH and Petroleum 7 CH
• If the eczema is aggravated by the sun and the seaside
Natrum muriaticum 9 CH, 4 pellets morning and evening.
• If the eczema is accentuated by heat or water and improved by cold
Sulfur 9 CH
• If the eczema is aggravated in winter
Petroleum 7 CH
• If eczema occurs after vaccination
Thuya 15 CH and Mezereum 7 CH
Good to know : in case of secondary infection of eczema, disinfect with a solution of 15 drops of mother tincture of calendula diluted in half a glass of water.
