Keeping a stable weight over the months and years without having to “go on a diet” is ideal and it is possible! And even rather simple, because everything is a question of balanced food to acquire. No deprivation, frustration, prohibitions, “intensive surveillance”, but a sustained attention paid to his food sensations (hunger, satiation), as well as to the quality and variety of his daily meals. Fresh, nutritionally rich foods that complement and compensate for each other to provide just the right amount, including pleasure! Very quickly, we realize that the extra pounds are essentially linked to the loss of our elementary benchmarks.
Finding good, simple habits is enough to restore a balanced diet
How? ‘Or’ What ? By minimizing processed products, for example. Because they contain added ingredients, not always necessary, and especially additives (preservatives, colorings). Often they are too high in sugars, bad fats and salt. Reducing or eliminating them also means saving money, making it possible to buy products of good quality, fresh and seasonal, ideally local (less chemical treatment) and more tasty. And when it’s good, it’s easier to cook! Finally, we must learn to make “reasoned” choices and focus on the most nutritious foods for the body: rather complete rice than white (same for cereals), more of a fruit than a cake, more of a homemade smoothie than a lemonade.
