On March 16, the 42,000 dentists in France closed the door of their practice and, in solidarity, donated their protective equipment to hospitals and nursing homes. Today, a few days before deconfinement and the reopening of the cabins, they no longer have the equipment necessary to treat their patients in complete safety.
“We, dental surgeons, are naked. We have given our protective equipment to our colleagues and to the hospitals. Mr Olivier Veran, give us back our equipment” they claim on social networks. And to better intereplle the public authorities, the “naked” dentists took their picture in the simplest device, in their office.
In a recent speech, the Minister of Health announced the distribution of 150,000 masks to dentists. “That’s 4 masks per person, or a day’s work” they explain. No doubt they will listen to the Prime Minister’s speech this afternoon.
