Eating well during the menopause while reducing the problems associated with it. This famous French dessert is very easy to make and it is also very tasty and healthy. Traditionally, it is prepared with cherries, but you can use any fruit for it: for example, pears, apples or apricots. The soy milk provides many plant hormones and the cherries contain useful antioxidants.
Ingredients
-
25 grams of butter
-
100 grams of flour
-
3 teaspoons freshly ground sea salt
-
300 ml soy milk
-
4 eggs
-
3 tablespoons honey
-
100 ml Kirsch
-
450 grams of ripe blueberries
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C and place a shallow baking pan with the butter in the oven.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, milk, eggs, honey and kirsch until smooth.
When the oven is at the right temperature, take the baking pan out and tilt it on all sides so that the inside is completely greased with the melted butter. Pour in the batter, divide the berries over the batter and return the mold to the oven. Bake for 35-40 minutes until well risen and nicely colored.
Serve the clafoutis warm and don’t mind it sagging as it cools – that’s normal.
Variation: make this dessert with pitted black cherries from a can. Let them drain well first.
