
Caramelizing gives the leek a surprisingly sweet taste.
Ingredients

6 potatoes

150 grams small shallots

400 grams of thin leeks

3 tablespoons liquid margarine

1/2 tablespoon powdered sugar

200 grams of pork fillet strips

Preparation
- Peel the potatoes. Boil them in a little water for about 20 minutes.
- Clean the shallots and halve the larger ones if necessary.
- Clean the leek. Halve the leek lengthwise and cut the halves into pieces of about 8 centimeters.
- Heat half of the margarine and fry the shallots in it for about 10 minutes until tender and translucent. Take them out of the pan.
- Bake the meat strips in the rest of the margarine for about 8 minutes until tender and brown.
- Put the leek in the pan of the shallots and braise the leek for about 5 minutes.
- Add the shallots to the leek and add pepper and icing sugar.
- Heat everything while stirring until the sugar starts to colour.
- Season the meat strips with pepper and thyme and serve them with the vegetables and potatoes.

Delicious with tofu and mashed potatoes.
