The four-wheel drive DTM racer from Alfa
The Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI is typically one of those creations from automotive history that you can’t hate. Everyone thinks this thing is cool, we’re sure. Even if it’s not because of the V6 that can run at 11,800 rpm (and more importantly: the sound that is released), it is because of the outfitjes that the car wears. This Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI wears Jägermeister livery, but the best known is probably the bright red in which Nicola Larini defeated the Germans in their own DTM championship. And then there was also a great Martini-155.
We have good news, because this Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI is in France and can go to a new owner on 2 February. This Jägermeister racer with chassis number 005 raced in 1995 and 1996 in the DTM and ITC championship. With Michael Bartels behind the wheel, this 155 crossed the finish line first in both DTM races at Diepholz in 1995.
In 2017, the car was fully restored for an amount of 170,000 euros. The V6 engine and transmission would only have seen a roller-coaster session. You could be the first to push the six-cylinder back to 11,800 rpm on the track. You only get two spare wheels and the associated computer equipment with the purchase. So maybe be a little careful with the stuff.
