The weather is good and the sun is back! It’s the perfect time to forget about the metro and walk a bit, your heart will thank you! A recent study on women’s health found that walking was a great way to guard against heart disease. Indeed, for women who walk two hours a week or more, the risk of heart attack is reduced by 30% and for women who walk regularly and at a brisk pace, the risk is reduced by 37%.
This study also found that women who walk fast reduced their risk of stroke by 25%.
The explanation? Physical activities are a priori all beneficial for good heart health, but for women who do not particularly like sport, walking is a good compromise and you can cover kilometers without even realizing it!
