The restyled X6 should follow the movement of the BMW range with a more aggressive look, a reduced range and a more extensive standard endowment, with the key prices revised upwards. Its arrival on the roads is expected for 2023.
The third BMW X6 of the name has been on the market since the end of 2019, also his mid-career restyling is expected for next year. In view of the latest stylistic developments of the Bavarian manufacturer’s SUVs, one can already imagine what the update of the large “coupé” crossover will look like.
As usual, the aesthetic developments of the BMW X6 should be limited. The front lights of the vehicle could be refined, and its grille adopt a slightly more angular design like that of the recently restyled X3 and X4. The combination of these two novelties would give the X6 a sharper “look”. Lower, the shield should be redesigned, welcoming air intakes still as imposing but with renewed shapes. At the rear, the change could be limited to a reworked shield.
A scale pulled up?
If we rely on the evolution of the rest of the BMW catalog, the range of the restyled X6 could be reduced compared to “phase 1” and start with a level of equipment higher than that of the current basic offer. . The digital dashboard could grow as on board the restyled 8 Series and the iDrive multimedia system could move to version 8. A price increase is to be expected as a result. The engine offer could remain the same as at present, with in France two micro-hybrid six-cylinder diesels of 286 hp and 340 hp respectively as well as a 530 hp petrol V8, not to mention the X6 M Competition with the 625 hp V8. The restyling of the BMW X6 could be unveiled at the same time as that of the X5.
