There tart tatin is none other than a caramelized apple tart with sugar and butter, the dough of which is placed on top of the filling before baking in the oven. Considered as a dessert pleasure, it should not be consumed in excess. Sweet desserts have a harmful effect on the blood sugar. They can be conducive to type 2 diabetes and being overweight.

The sugar-free tarte tatin recipe
Ingredients for 6 people : 20 g of butter, 200 g of flour, 1 pinch of salt, 7 cl of water, ½ tsp. teaspoon of cinnamon, 5 cl of vegetable oil, 6 apples.
Preheat your oven to 180°C (thermostat 6).
In a salad bowl, pour the flour and salt then make a well in the middle. Mix. Add the water and oil then knead until you obtain a soft and elastic dough. Reserve in the fridge.
Peel the apples then cut them into large wedges. In a pan, boil the apple juice and let it simmer for 30 minutes until it browns and thickens. Meanwhile, brown the apples in the butter then cook for about 20 minutes over low heat until they caramelize and brown.
In a mold, pour the apple juice caramel, arrange the apple quarters and cover everything with the shortcrust pastry. Press the edges of the dough to seal it with the apples and prick lightly with a fork.
Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes while monitoring the cooking. Unmold before the tart has cooled, otherwise the caramel will set. Enjoy warm.
