250 grams of beef steaks

2 tablespoons liquid margarine

1 tablespoon tomato paste

1 onion

2 stalks celery

1 winter carrot

Preparation
- Cut the beef steaks into pieces and sprinkle with pepper.
- Brown the meat on all sides in the hot margarine.
- Fry the tomato paste briefly.
- Add 200 milliliters of hot water and some thyme and simmer the meat for 1 hour.
- Clean the vegetables. Cut the onion into shreds, the celery into wedges, the carrot into slices and the kohlrabi and celeriac into large cubes.
- Add the vegetables to the meat and simmer for another 20 minutes.
- Peel the potatoes. Boil the potatoes in a little water for about 20 minutes and serve them with the stew.
