And a clearer offer
Our criticism of the Alpine A110 has been very fussy so far. It’s a great sports car that needs to be ironed to find real weaknesses. The two big downsides? A pretty pitiful infotainment system and a confusing offering. These two things have been neatly solved with the facelift of the Alpine A110. There are now three versions to choose from.
The facelift gives the Alpine A110 S a spoiler and more power
You may have noticed that the appearance has hardly changed. Also striking is the spoiler on the back of the orange A110. This is how you recognize the A110 S, the most powerful of the range. The aerodynamic additions provide up to 141 kilograms of downforce. It’s 4 millimeters lower, has snappy Brembo brakes and the 1.8-liter four-cylinder now produces 300 horsepower, 8 horsepower more than before. The 0-to-100 time is 5.5 seconds thanks to launch control.
The A110 GT and the slip-on
In addition, there is an Alpine A110 for longer distances. This GT (silver in the photos) also gets 300 hp and the larger Brembos, but has a softer tuned chassis and no Sabelt bucket seats. Then there is the slip-on simply called A110. This one also has the soft setting, but as before a modest 252 horsepower, and smaller wheels and brakes. In addition to a clearer offer, there is an infotainment system that should be operated like a smartphone. Even easier is that the facelift of the Alpine A110 now offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
