Alpine announces something new on its Twitter account. We could legitimately have imagined discovering a preview of the restyled A110, expected at the end of the year. It is not so !
A real GTA proto?
On the first visual published by the manufacturer, we discover a grille with largely openwork shields, redesigned optics and quick couplers on the hood. The position of the mirror leaves no doubt that the model is equipped with doors with elytron opening. So many clues that recall the Alpine GTA of Arseny Kostromin, an ex-designer from Renault who had fun (in a personal capacity) to bodybuilder an A110. A 100% virtual concept in preparation!
A priori, no model or real prototype in sight. According to our information, the new project suggested by Alpine does not even have a direct link with this GTA equipped with a flat 6-cylinder of almost 500 hp. This is a new virtual vehicle that is expected to join an online gaming platform.
At least that’s what the keywords that accompany the posts imply. One refers to the “metaverse”, an English concept of an alternative digital universe. Another talks about Animoca, one of the leaders in the field of virtual entertainment, while a third refers to digital tokens to buy, sell or trade also digital works. As for the fourth, it promotes a new automotive video game, REVV Racing. Let’s be patient… We should be fixed as early as next week!
