Should we give up rugs and carpets?
“Indeed, it is better to avoid as much as possible all textiles – curtains, rugs, hangings, accumulation of cushions, etc. – because they are real dust traps, ”says Chrisbelle Speyer, indoor environment advisor. The goatskin bed companionway? Also to be forgotten for the same reason. Some people care about the carpet, which is so soft on the feet in the bedroom, and think that spraying it regularly with an anti-dust mite spray solves the problem. Experts warn: “Not only are these bombs of no interest, but they release irritants that can trigger asthma or rhinitis attacks. »You can choose a sofa in leather or imitation rather than fabric and opt for a few small easily washable rugs. “But let’s not exaggerate anyway, we are not in a hospital! », Reassures Chrisbelle Speyer.
