“Stolen” photos reveal the restyled Alfa Romeo Stelvio in an unprecedented finish called Estrema. This evolution of the SUV should be noticed mainly in new front lights evoking those of the Tonale.
The restyled Alfa Romeo Stelvio, expected (with a little delay) for next summer, was surprised on a transport truck. These photos seem to confirm the evolution of the front lights revealed by “spy” photos of the future restyled Giulia and announce the arrival of a new sporty finish, which could be placed in the range just below the Quadrifoglio model. This is called Estrema, according to the badges affixed to the front fenders of the car.
New look for the Italian SUV
The SUV is almost devoid of camouflage in these images, which highlights all the more the imposing masking of the front lights, confirming that this is where the biggest change lies. The Stelvio, like the Giulia, will probably adopt the light signature inaugurated by the Tonale. The same can be expected at the stern. However, the rear optical units of the Stelvio visible here seem identical to those of the current model.
A more high-tech Stelvio?
The body-coloured rocker panels, like the rear bumper incorporating a black diffuser, are identical to those of the Veloce version, confirming the high-end and sporty positioning of the Estrema finish. The range structure of the Stelvio could evolve with this restyling, as well as its range of engines which could integrate a micro-hybridization. On the equipment side, we can also expect change with the arrival of a digital dashboard, a new central screen and a revised infotainment system. Here again, it will be a question of ensuring a coherence of range with the new Tonale, but also of maintaining the attractiveness of the Stelvio as of the Giulia, called to remain a few more years in the catalog before their replacement by exclusively electric models. Remember that Alfa Romeo wants to become “zero emissions” in its main markets in 2027.
