In Argentina, a second-generation Renault Clio that left the factory in 2011 was recently sold without having driven a single kilometer. The owner died before the city car was delivered, and the garage that had kept it warm has just sold it.
This Renault Clio 2 has been parked in the back of the Renault AutoJujuy garage in San Salvador de Jujuy, Argentina for ten years. The model, registered “KSE 220” in 2011, could not be delivered to its owner. For good reason, he died suddenly just before receiving his vehicle. So, the Clio 2 has never driven a single kilometer. After a decade, the Argentinian garage has finally delivered the Clio to its new owner.
A new Clio from 2011 delivered ten years later …
Asked by our Argentinian colleagues from Autoblog, sales director Ariel Sánchez explains that the Clio was stored while waiting for someone to come and pick it up, which the deceased’s family never wanted to do. The French city car was therefore sold at judicial auction and won by the dealer himself. She was offered for 800 000 pesos (approximately € 6,990) to the employees of the concession. Some have shown interest. The garage therefore organized a raffle to designate the winner. It’s a certain Pablo Fabián Aramayo who won the prize and picked up his “new” Clio 2 a few days ago. A small ceremony in the concession delivery area was organized, with photos and some gifts.

Having not driven for a decade, the Clio also underwent a major overhaul by the dealer in northern Argentina. Liquids, gaskets and electronic components such as the battery have been checked in order to be able to leave the garage safely, which still offers the owner a one-year warranty, the factory warranty being long exceeded!
