In the pharmacy of the future mother we find:
In herbal medicine
From the 2nd trimester of pregnancy.
- Thyme in the form of infusion or gargle, in case of sore throat, cough.
- Mallow Where marshmallow sou form of infusion, in case of sore throat, cough, bronchitis.
- Plantain, in the form of infusion or capsules, in case of cough.
- Acerola to suck every morning during the flu epidemic or echinacea to be taken every other week.
In homeopathy
- Compound arum triphyllum in case of sore throat (angina, pharyngitis, laryngitis, etc.), 5 granules every hour, to be spaced out according to improvement.
- Allium cepa 5 CH in case of runny nose that irritates the nose (same dosage).
- Nux vomica 5 CH in case of sneezing and stuffy nose at night (same dosage).
- Oscillococcinum® (Boiron) for flu prevention, 1 dose per week from October to March, and 1 dose at the start of the flu condition and as soon as possible.
- Phosphoricum acidum 30 CH in case of lack of physical and mental energy, 3 granules in the morning.
In aromatherapy
- From thyme hydrosol to thymol for a gargle (1 tablespoon) in case of angina, sore throat.
- Of eucalyptus EO in diffusion to sanitize the atmosphere during an epidemic or in inhalation (2 drops in a bowl of hot water) in case of respiratory infection.
Recall : no essential oil during the first 3 months of pregnancy. Beyond that, many essential oils remain contraindicated.
In apitherapy
- A honey quality, organic, if possible with thyme, rosemary or lavender, for their antiseptic properties. To be used as a gargle, to sweeten your hot drinks or with the juice of 1 lemon and hot water for an anti-cold drink.
- royal jelly to counter fatigue.
- Propolis to chew to stimulate its immune defenses or in case of sore throat.
Without forgetting, to clean the nose, isotonic quinton plasma or a nasal spray with tannic plants to unclog the nose (Humer very stuffy nose, for example).
