In the North we are more addicted than elsewhere to the joys of fast food and ready-made meals. The inhabitants of Nord-Pas-de-Calais consume 18 fast-food or ready-made meals on average per month, compared to 15 in Picardy. Figures that make these two regions the poor performers in France in terms of food, according to a study * carried out by the online sports nutrition brand MyProtein.com, presented on Tuesday, August 2.
Conversely, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur won the prize for the region which eats the healthiest with only two fast food or dishes prepared on average per month.
In Ile-de-France, we consume 9 ready-made meals per month, which places the region in fourth position on the list.
Fast food, the easy way out
A third of those polled say they are not big fans of fast food and ready-made meals, but admit “be too busy“to make a homemade dish, even if they are well aware of the health risks.
More than six French people claiming to consume ready-made meals in ten (62%) assure that they are aware of the health risks associated with this junk food.
