Little by little, vaccination against Covid-19 is gaining momentum all over the planet. And to encourage the population to get vaccinated, some states do not hesitate to roll their eyes… Thus, in the United States, India, China or Russia, people vaccinated against coronavirus infection SARS-CoV-2 receive gifts, sometimes unusual!
In the United States, first, the “vaccine rewards” are numerous: Phil Murphy, the governor of the State of New Jersey, thus promised a beer to all adults over 21 vaccinated during the month of May 2021. The little “plus” of this operation Shot and a beer (an injection and a beer): beer fans can choose their gift from a dozen references…
The municipality of Washington, for its part, offered 300 bouquets of flowers to Americans who received their first injection on Sunday, May 9, 2021, to celebrate Mother’s Day: the lucky vaccinated could even request an ephemeral tattoo “vaccinated for my mom”. We love.
Encourage vaccination against Covid-19 with rewards
Hard hit by Covid-19, India has pulled out all the stops to convince its population to get vaccinated: thus, the community of goldsmiths in the Rajkot region (in the west of the country) has decided to offer a gold piercing to women who have received the precious injection. Vaccinated men, meanwhile, are given a blender. Why not.
In China and Russia, vaccination against Covid-19 is instead rewarded with basic necessities: a district in the suburbs of Beijing thus offers food vouchers to those vaccinated, while another district of the Chinese capital gives boxes of eggs to seniors who can prove that they have received their injections against the disease. And in Moscow (in Russia), ice cream is offered to vaccinated people.
There are even more unusual rewards. Thus, in the state of Michigan (in the United States), it is possible to ask for a dose of cannabis when you have been vaccinated against Covid-19 – a way of decompressing, no doubt?
