The National Institute for Public Health Surveillance (INVS) confirmed Monday, May 4, two new cases of swine flu, now called by the World Health Organization (WHO) influenza A / H1N1. They are a 23-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman who are unrelated. Both stayed in Mexico.
Their symptoms appeared on April 30 and May 1, respectively. This Monday, the INVS specifies: “They are still hospitalized in Ile-de-France and their state of health does not cause concern.”
This confirmation now brings the number of confirmed cases in France to 4. Eight other probable cases are currently under investigation.
