The futuristic Hoto iRing laser makes a tape measure superfluous

The tape measure can go in the trash because this Hoto gadget uses a laser to measure a distance within 0.2 seconds.

You know the saying, ‘just measure something’. Then you try to get that hook behind an object for fifteen minutes with an inaccurate tape measure. The thing rolls up again and again and gives you a slap on the fingers on the way in. We may have a solution for you, because the hot laser gives you the exact distance to something at the touch of a button.

Hoto’s intelligent tape measure uses a laser to calculate the distance between the device and, for example, a wall. You have taken a measurement within 0.2 seconds. The Hoto laser has a margin of error of roughly 1.5 millimeters, allowing you to measure large areas with negligible inaccuracy. The gadget can measure distances from 0.05 to 30 meters.

What makes the futuristic tool even more convenient is the integration of a dedicated app. The gadget connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth. Then all measurements are displayed in the app.

You can even make a sketch of, for example, a room to put the measurements near the associated walls or objects. That way you will never forget what exactly 5.67 meters was and you don’t have to do anything again. Or you take a photo, enter a length of an object and the app calculates the rest of the dimensions based on those proportions!

Two modes

As icing on the cake, the laser tape measure has two measuring modes for the most accurate result. You can choose from a mode in which the length of the device is included. This is useful when you hold the laser against a wall, for example.

The other mode calculates the distance from the front of the laser, for example if you hold the device next to an object. Just put your hand on the other side and you have the exact measurements.
