Naturally, I often talk to you about weight loss, but today I want to go further on this notion and tell you about the different stages of a diet that we are likely to encounter. And small peculiarity, I will not speak to you only as a nutritionist, but also simply as a man who has already had to go on a diet.
No offense to some, it is nevertheless very true, having knowledge of nutrition is an advantage, but that does not prevent you from gaining weight!
The stages of dieting: getting off to a good start
I keep telling you that it is over time that the success of weight loss is played and your motivation is the first key to your success! In the stages of a diet, you should not miss the first steps.
- The good moment : It is true to think that there are times when one is more willing to start a diet. Intense stress, a painful event, heavy medical treatment, quitting smoking… so many parameters that do not mix well with the start of a diet.
This does not mean that these are brakes, but that you have to let yourself a little bit of time to digest them in order to find in oneself the resources to get involved in a program for his health!

The click: When it’s the right time, there’s a click in you… an event that you experience, a remark, a reflection of you in a mirror, a worrying medical check-up, a photo of you… everyone has their own personal trigger that will make you say at any moment I can’t no longer continue like this, I’m taking charge!
This click is your strengththis little thing to keep in mind to boost the motivation that will be your driving force throughout weight loss.
3. The beginning: With your motivation, you start the program seriously and the results are quickly very encouraging! These results further strengthen your motivation and it’s a virtuous circle whose only limit is wanting to go too fast.

4. Stagnation: It is one of the stages of a diet morally more difficult because we naturally think that we are making efforts that do not pay off, which puts your motivation to the test.
However, this step is almost inevitable for 2 reasons.
The first is that by losing weight, your energy expenditure will decrease and this is coupled with the fact that your body has become accustomed to this new diet and therefore naturally puts itself in savings in order to protect itself.
The second is that at this stage, you have often made your mark in the program and with that some freedoms seasoning, choice of food… which end up counting!
5. Boost spending: We must reverse the trend by boosting expenditure and this requires physical activity, walking for example is a good choice. At the start, it will probably be difficult, but once again the benefits felt will boost you, you have to persevere!

6. Pleasure and friendliness: Refocus on the structure and vary the menus!
Because fatigue is a big enemy of diets. Without pleasure, you won’t last and that’s normal. Consider helping yourself food equivalences and above all, use the recipes offered by your dietician and even the pleasure equivalents from time to time.
Cook, find your favorite recipes and get organized by preparing certain meals in advance that you will share with the whole family. You should not feel punished.
As soon as you have really changed your way of eating, it becomes natural and you no longer feel on a diet, you’ve won!
