From the first period until menopause, a woman uses on average 10,000 sanitary products. As the product offering continues to diversify, 60 million consumers, in collaboration with the Ecological Transition Agency (Ademe), have scrutinized certain renowned brands of sanitary napkins, focusing mainly on their performance.

To rate the performance, 60 million consumers did not stop at absorption, but during the test bench, the length, shape, position of the fins, in short all the protection details were also taken into account. account.
In total, 10 brands of sanitary napkins were tested and only 5 of them obtained an overall score above 13/20. You will discover them in our slideshow.
Products that still lack transparency
To allow women to be able to choose in complete transparency these products which affect their privacy, 18 months ago, the Minister of Health (it was again Olivier Véran) announced that the government was preparing a decree obliging manufacturers of hygienic protection to publish the composition of all hygiene and intimate protection products.
The publication of this decree, scheduled for July 1, 2023, has been further postponed by a few months. It could take place on January 1, 2024, provided that certain measures are validated by the European Commission. The Council of State must also give its opinion before publication.
