A sexist question asked to medical students, during a mock exam, outraged the web.
This is a joke in bad taste. Last Friday, during a mock exam, the 6th year medical students were faced with a particularly sexist choice of answer. A little “note of humor” which did not have its effect. Written by doctors, a response to a proposed question sparked outrage: “A 35-year-old patient is spanked at her workplace by her supervisor in front of her colleagues, what do you do? “
To this question, the students had five choices of answer, including this one, particularly absurd: “You ask her to go to the corner because she was not good”.
Outraged, one of the students was quick to post a tweet after photographing the question. The reactions did not take long. Relayed by Slate magazine, the message has been retweeted more than 900 times. This question was part of a MCQ of a mock exam of the iECN, the Computerized National Classant Exam, in which students from three Parisian faculties participated.
Sexual harassment at work makes the doctors who write the mock exams for my college laugh a lot. Shameful pic.twitter.com/HGenXbveBy

“Shameful”
Interviewed by Slate magazine, the young woman, author of the tweet, said she was shocked by the ordinary sexism that plays out daily in the medical community. “Many do not realize that it is simply sexist … It is always under the guise of humor or tradition”. She then confided more: “Once, I explained that it could happen to me to be unwell. I was told that I was going to wake up with a cock in my ear ”. A few minutes after his post, other Internet users shared their anger.
This controversy brings the rifle spirit back to the forefront, criticized following the scandal of misogynist frescoes in guard rooms. In January 2015, a fresco mimicking a gang rape at the Clermont-Ferrand hospital center was strongly condemned. The purpose of the fresco was to denounce the decisions of the Minister of Health Marisol Touraine.
@pziou Spanking is sexual assault. More serious than harassment. It’s incredible.

“It missed”
The Minister of Health and Social Affairs was quick to react to the controversy. In the evening, the minister expressed her dissatisfaction.
The question was meant to be humorous? It missed. And sexist. So unacceptable. #ECNi
