According to the weekly bulletin of the Sentinels network published this Wednesday, December 23, the national incidence is still above the epidemic threshold, or 440 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. In 15 weeks, the number of consultations for this type of syndromes reached more than 3.3 million.
Twenty regions of metropolitan France had exceeded the epidemic threshold established at 173 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
The Sentinels network estimates at 212,000 the number of consultations attributable to influenza out of all consultations for influenza syndromes, against 320,700 a week earlier. In 15 weeks of epidemic, the number of cases of influenza reached 2,762,000.
The activities of acute diarrhea, chickenpox and asthma attacks, other diseases monitored by the Sentinels network of doctors, are considered moderate.
