And comes with dark accents
The average age of a Rolls-Royce buyer was once well over fifty years old. But times are changing. More and more young people with money are opting for a Rolls. The Cullinan in particular is very popular with these younger buyers. The average age is now 10 years lower. And for that target group, Rolls-Royce came up with an alter ego called the Black Badge. Under this banner, tougher and faster models are released, including this Rolls-Royce Ghost Black Badge.
While customers are free to choose from 44,000 colors, most people will go for a black finish. According to the brand, they have the darkest of all black paints. This lacquer is applied extra finely to a statically charged carriage, after which the lacquer is placed in the oven. The paint is then polished by hand. The paint weighs no less than 45 kilos. Customers can choose whether they also want other accents, such as the grille or Spirit or Ecstasy, in black.
Carbon fiber rims
The 21-inch rims also belong to the Rolls-Royce Ghost Black Badge. The outer edge of the rim is made of carbon fiber while the heart is made of aluminum. Inside you will also find carbon fiber, which was laid in a very specific pattern before it went into the autoclave. The air vents are also darker than with the normal Ghost. Of course you will be able to adjust everything to your own taste when ordering.
The price of the Rolls-Royce Ghost Black Badge
Each Black Badge is slightly more powerful than the regular model, including the Ghost. The 6.75-liter V12 produces an extra 29 hp, bringing the total to 600 hp. The torque increases by 50 Nm to 900 Nm. The tuning of the transmission and the way the car reacts to the accelerator pedal has also been adapted for the Rolls-Royce Ghost Black Badge. The prices of the new Black Badge are not yet known, but keep in mind that you don’t have to knock on the door with less than 400,000 euros.
