The Mégane sedan and station wagon range is evolving. The 115 hp 3-cylinder TCe disappears from the catalog at the same time as the Zen and Limited finishes. Equipment and optional packs are also undergoing changes. The rates take advantage of this to climb up to 800 €. Entry ticket: €28,150.
While all eyes are currently on the new 100% electric Mégane E-Tech, the traditional Mégane is resisting. With 127,318 copies sold in 2021 worldwide: it is even the 3and Renault’s most popular model. The diamond manufacturer is taking advantage of the start of the year to completely review the range of the sedan and the station wagon which will definitely disappear from the catalog at the end of 2023.

A better equipped Mégane as standard
The entry-level Zen finish and the 1.0 TCe engine – which arrived last year – have now been removed. The Limited and Business levels merged to become Evolution while the Intens trim takes on the Techno name. The access price inevitably explodes and therefore stands at €28,150, instead of the €25,100 requested until now. At an equivalent level of equipment, prices increase by €400 to €800 depending on the engine. The plug-in hybrid version retains its base price set at €38,100 (+ €100).
- front / rear parking assistance
- dual-zone automatic air conditioning
- full LED projectors
- automatic lights and wipers
- cruise control / speed limiter
- 7-inch central touch screen
- 16-inch steel wheels with hubcaps
And additional equipment compared to the old Limited:
- 16 inch alloy wheels
- dark gray fabric upholstery
- Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- “safety pack”: it appears as an option (€650) and includes lane keeping assistance, panel recognition and safety distance alert.
The Techno finish replaces the Intens name. The equipment remains substantially the same with the addition of 17-inch alloy wheels as standard. What is added in short: reversing camera, active emergency braking with pedestrian detection, 9.3-inch central screen with navigation, leatherette upholstery and height-adjustable front seats.

Return of the TCe 160 on the RS Line finish
For its part, the RS Line variant is enriched with the 10-inch digital dashboard, the blind spot and parking exit warning, specific fabric upholstery and the “Easy park” pack. The 3 engines formerly offered with this sporty finish (TCe 140, dCi 115 and PHEV 160) are however abandoned. Only the 160 hp 1.3 TCe – which is returning to the catalog – will be able to benefit from this sporty finish.
Otherwise, the Mégane RS Line adds the following equipment to the Techno version:
- specific body kit
- 17-inch Monthléry alloy wheels
- aluminum crankset
- leather steering wheel
- RS Line interior
- Alcantara pack: adds special upholstery and heated front seats (€1,200).
The 300 hp Mégane RS and RS Trophy have not changed and retain their superior equipment (sports seats, rear-wheel steering, 18-inch rims, side parking radars, etc.). The Trophy variant still enjoys its Cup chassis and 19-inch rims.
Renault Mégane prices (March 2022)
Count €1,000 more for the Mégane Estate station wagon, which is not offered with the RS finish and the 300 hp engine.
