An R5 made to run
The seller of this Turbo has only had it since last spring. Before that, the car was in the hands of Patrick Duflot, who heads the Ferry Développement company, specializing in particular in the preparation of R5 Turbo racing. In its workshops, the car was restored and adapted to a Group B configuration. Front axle, brakes, roll bar and even pedals were revised on this occasion. The rebuilt four-cylinder 1.4 mid-rear turbo engine produces 235 hp; it was run in for five hours, then the car completed 150 km of test drives.

A six-figure price for this R5 Turbo?
The history and the different owners of the car are known since the vehicle left the factory. It notably remained the property of stuntman Gilles Ciamin from 1992 to 2015. The icing on the cake: the car sports the historic Renault Sport colors on its livery mixing yellow, white and black. The price of the Renault 5 Turbo has been soaring for some time, and this Cévennes, as rare as it is neat, should be no exception to the rule. It is estimated between 75,000 and 105 000 €. The sale organized by the house Aguttes will be held in Paris, at the Grand Palais, on August 30, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. The lots will be exhibited the same day from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
