This is not the first time that a transgender boy has started a pregnancy. But Hayden Cross claims to be the first British transgender to become pregnant. Which earned him, as it should, to make the front page of tabloid The Sun.
In the daily, Hayden, who was born a “girl” 20 years ago and then bore the first name Paige, explains that he embarked on a gender reassignment procedure 3 years ago. But fearing that he would never be able to have children, he interrupted his treatment for a few months and resorted to an anonymous sperm donation to get pregnant.
After pregnancy, Hayden will have her ovaries removed
In The Sun, the young man shows off his first curves and explains having found the anonymous donor by launching a call on social networks, after having twice asked the NHS (the British health system) for authorization to freeze his oocytes, and suffered two refusals.
At the end of her pregnancy, Hayden will continue her process of transitioning from one sex to another. The next step is to remove the mammary glands and have the ovaries removed.
