After spending more than eight months in prison, the former director of the Poly Implant Prothesis (PIP) company, Jean-Claude Mas, has just been released under judicial supervision. He must report to the police twice a week. He is forbidden to leave the departments of Bouches-du-Rhône and Var. And he is not to meet with the other former executives of PIP. Jean-Claude Mas had been imprisoned since the beginning of March because he had not paid the bail imposed by the courts. He had been indicted for “unintentional injuries” after using a non-compliant gel for the manufacture of his prostheses. A trial for “aggravated deception” should be held from April 17 to May 14, 2013 in Marseille.
